Let me tell you more about my internship at Aeronamic, a leading company in the field of centrifugal compressor technology. As a student in Aerospace Engineering and Systems & Control at TU Delft, I had the opportunity to do an internship at this innovative company. Let me tell you about my experiences, challenges and why I would definitely recommend Aeronamic to other students.
My internship assignment at Aeronamic revolved around the development of a numerical model for a Vapor Compression Cycle (VCC) system. This may sound complicated, but it gave me the opportunity to apply my theoretical knowledge to a practical project. Under the guidance of Dieter ‘t Mannetje, the team leader of the E-compressor team, I dove deep into the world of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and programming.
I’ll be honest, my internship period was not always easy. But each challenge brought new insights and satisfaction. I not only learned a lot about my specific assignment, but also about the company culture within Aeronamic. The team was always ready to help me and the amount of knowledge within the company was amazing.
What really set Aeronamic apart for me was the openness and willingness to share knowledge. I always felt welcome to ask questions and my supervisors really took the time to help me grow. The professional attitude and honest communication were very valuable to me and I hope to apply this in my own work in the future.
After my internship, I am definitely interested in possible opportunities at Aeronamic. The company offers an environment where I can further develop in my passion area. Of course, there are challenges, such as the travel distance, that I need to consider, but I am confident that this is solvable.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend Aeronamic to other students who are interested in working with cutting-edge technologies. Yes, it is hard work and your knowledge will be tested, but the experience you gain is invaluable. If you are willing to challenge yourself, an internship at Aeronamic will definitely not disappoint you.
