I studied Mechanical Engineering at Twente University. With Introduction into Aeronautical Engineering and Lean Six Sigma as elective courses, Aeronamic was the perfect company to do my graduation project (2011/2012).
During my graduation, it already became clear that improvement projects are enthusiastically embraced by everyone in the company and that you can find help and cooperation everywhere.
After my graduation I started working for Aeronamic at the department Quality Assurance and took place in the team that was developing our new PLM system ARAS (Product Lifecycle Management).
As a team we identify relevant processes and data, determine the entire process, optimize if necessary, and automate the control, information provision and administration as much as possible. In aerospace traceability is of vital importance, and also for this, PLM is the solution: everything is recorded, linked together, easily retrievable and human errors almost can’t occur anymore.
The innovative aspect of Aras, in which I can investigate and influence (the improvement of) both production processes and business processes, make my job at Aeronamic particularly varied and challenging. Also the wide range of tasks of Quality Assurance contributes to this. The fact that you can change processes and systems completely and can help to make the lives of people easier, makes my job motivating and satisfactory.
