AERONAMIC RECEIVES HONEYWELL PRODUCTION APPROVAL FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING

Following its 5 year project ‘3D2SKY’, Aeronamic has received production approval for Additive Manufacturing from Honeywell Aerospace. “We started the project in 2017 and at that time we had only heard of the technology. When we saw the initiatives that were taken by our customers, it became obvious that this technology would be a game changer for the industry. That’s why Aeronamic decided to invest in Additive Manufacturing. This investment in new technology once more demonstrates Aeronamic’s unique heritage. We are thankful that our team’s hard work, supported by Fraunhofer and the Province of Overijssel pays off”, says Renko Overmeen, Director Programs of Aeronamic. “We can proudly announce that we are one of the first suppliers in Europe to receive approval for Additive Manufacturing from Honeywell Aerospace. It confirms our position as a very capable and innovative supplier in the aerospace market and is just the start of many more developments to come”, says Steffen de Vries, CEO of Aeronamic.

Aeronamic is a Tier 2/Tier 3 supplier for Commercial and Defense Aerospace business. We arose from multinational Urenco and build on the heritage of ultra-centrifuge development and production for uranium enrichment, a technology that no other company on the planet is able to match.
