Develop a production process for Air Foil Bearings

Aeronamic is developing compressors that run at high speed (200.000+ RPM). Bearings in these systems must be free of oil lubricant. In our Product Development lab, we run self-developed and produced Air foil bearings at high speed. The current process is on a “lab scale” and highly dependent on fine mechanical craftsmanship.
The assignment is to develop an industrialized process to manufacture Air foil bearings, in such a way that it is economic, scalable and delivers predictable high quality. Consider also sub-processes like foil laser cutting, folding and assembly and coating process.
